About the service
- What is TraderCommons?
- A marketplace where traders split the cost of trading courses, expert advisors (EAs), indicators and bundles.
- What is a group buy?
- Several people pay for one product together. An organizer announces it, members join and pay in stages, the organizer buys the product and delivers it to everyone who paid. Then the group buy closes.
- Do I need an account?
- Browsing is open. To join or pay you need a free account with a confirmed e-mail.
- Is it safe?
- Payments are recorded, group-buy money is not released to the organizer until completion, and every listing is reviewed by a moderator. We cannot promise that a product makes money: trading carries risk and you should check every product yourself.
- Does TraderCommons charge a fee?
- There is no separate fee on top of what you see. Our margin is part of the contribution, and the total with its parts is shown before you pay.
Joining and paying
- How do I join?
- Open a group buy that is open for enrollment and press "Join". What you can pay depends on the stage.
- Why does the price go up?
- Each later stage costs more: +25% of the base at Payment and +50% at Last call. Paying at Enrollment is the cheapest, and an amount you already paid is never charged again when the stage changes.
- What is the difference between fixed and regressive contributions?
- Fixed: the organizer sets the base and it does not change with the number of people. Regressive: the total is divided by the number of members, so every new member lowers the base until Payment starts, when it is frozen. A regressive contribution can be paid only after it is frozen.
- What happens if I join but do not pay?
- Joining does not charge you. If the group buy has a seat limit and all seats are taken at the Last call, the seat of the unpaid member who joined first can be given to a new member who joins and pays at once. That cannot happen during the first 24 hours of the Last call, so you have time to pay. Nobody who has paid ever loses a seat. If you lose yours, nothing was charged to you and you get a message.
- What are extra fees?
- If an unexpected cost appears, the organizer can ask for an extra fee, up to 25% of the purchase cost. A moderator reviews the request first. You have 5 days to pay your part, and if you do not want to, you can leave and get your contribution back. Without paying the extra fee you do not get the materials.
- What if not enough people join?
- If the minimum is not reached by the end of enrollment, the group buy is cancelled and every payment returns to your main balance.
- Can I leave?
- Yes, during Announcement and Enrollment, before Payment starts. During an extra fee you can leave until you have paid it. Your payment returns to your main balance.
- When do I get access?
- After the organizer buys the product, publishes the delivery, and you have paid everything required. The links are on your delivery page.
- A link does not work. What now?
- Press "Report a broken link" on the item. The organizer has 24 hours to fix it or answer. Unresolved reports go to moderators.
Money
- Which balances do I have?
- The main balance pays for contributions and receives refunds. Organizers also have an earnings balance; it can be moved to the main balance at any moment without a fee.
- Can I get my money back?
- Yes, to your main balance: when a group buy is cancelled, when you leave at an allowed stage, or when you decline an extra fee. A coupon that was already used is not returned.
- Do you store my card?
- No. Payments are handled by the payment provider.
Organizers
- What does moderation check?
- The description and screenshots, the price against the market, the category, the source and the organizer's history. Common reasons for rejection: a thin description, an inflated price, a duplicate, prohibited content, a wrong category, and income claims.
- How and when do organizers get paid?
- After the delivery is published, there are no unanswered broken-link reports, and the group buy is completed. The organizer's share and the refund of the purchase go to the earnings balance.
